Offered To Let January 1871 - Apply Messrs. Cann &
Clarke, Wymondham. Proprietor Robert Powley advertised 28th March 1874
that he provided Chops and Steaks at any hour and an Ordinary at Two
every Saturday. He had Good Stabling and Well-aired Beds.
The Opening Dinner of Mr. J. Butcher was held on Saturday 5th December
1874 and 80 of his friends were present to welcome him to his new
undertaking. The dinner was of excellent quality and well served. Licence lost
November 1891 following conviction for allowing premises to be used as a brothel.
