Given on Arderon's list 1745 - 1760. Location not identified. Possibly named after James Butler, Lord Ormonde, who was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk from 15th April 1713. Accused of supporting the 1715 Jacobite rising, his estate was confiscated and he fled to France and later to Spain where he was involved with the Spanish plans to invade England. He died in exile 16th November 1745, but was buried in Westminster Abbey on 22nd May 1746. |
