Listed by Arderon 1745/1760 The house was engaged for Freeholders, the Friends of Sir Edward Astley, Bart. and Thomas William Coke, Esq. on Wednesday 14th April 1784, being the Day of Election. (One of 53 such houses in Norwich). Location given as St. Andrew's. On Friday 31st March, the inquest into the death of William Hazlewood was held. He had been found dead in his bed at the Hog In Armour, St. Andrews. Verdict, Natural Death. (Was he licensee or guest?) Also mentioned 1820. Said to have stood on the South side of London Street ``Down a narrow alley between the Walk and Castle Street'' |
