of 1977 records:- A Freehouse. Bass Charrington - Bass and BB on handpumps. Tolly Cobbold - Bitter, Cantab and Old on handpumps. Recently redecorated one bar pub on the city outskirts. Previously the Ropemakers' Arms, an early victim of the current fad of changing pub names for changes' sake, (Although why anyone would want to name a pub after this dreadful anti-drinking monarch is beyond comprehension.) |
