The entrance to the earlier MEDDAYS HALL, later MEDDYZ INN
was incorporated in the building.
Now known as Dragon Hall.

Perhaps known as TWO MERRY WHERRYMEN pre 1742 to late 1700's.

OLD BARGE by 1806

According to the Will of Thomas Lovick, written 1818, the house was then  in the tenure of Edward and Peter Finch.
Christiana Lovick, daughter of Thomas, married Samuel Nockolds and their son, Thomas appears opposite in the list of licensees in 1850's.

Damaged by enemy action 27th to 29th April 1942

Temporary closure August 1969 became permanent.

Building substantially restored by local council following closure
(Purchased in 1979 from Watney Mann).
