Raven Yard exists on the West side of King Street between the church of St. Peter
per Mountergate and Stepping Lane.
The house was engaged for Freeholders, the Friends of Sir Edward Astley,
Bart. and Thomas William Coke, Esq. on Wednesday 14th April 1784, being
the Day of Election. (One of 53 such houses in Norwich)
Mr Fuller Dixon married Miss Ann
Mollitt of St Peter per Mountergate parish, 22nd November 1821, at Heigham
church.
Daniel Rowland named at the
RAVEN,
when in court 12th May 1859, charged with opening his house at illegal hours
on the previous Sunday. Fine 1s with 11s 6d costs. (Name given as Daniel
Newland in one report of the proceedings)
Mrs. Sarah Rowling died suddenly whilst at breakfast, Saturday 19th
January 1867, aged 62
