Possibly a 3rd Red Lion in Magdalen Street.
In 1842 James Howes, Stephen Steward & Thomas Fulcher
are each given at a Red Lion in Magdalen Street.
George Morris is given at Magdalen Street in 1856 as a beer retailer,
shoeing smith and wheelwright. In 1858 he is a coachmaker and at the Red
Lion.
By 1863 to at least 1883 he is a coachmaker, at Magdalen Street, but
there is no mention of beer.

Note:-
The existence of at least 2 Red Lions in Magdalen Street leads to difficulty in placing
licensees in the period before 1867.
Where there is doubt, entries are marked ?
