Amelia Curtis was committed to trial, Saturday 22nd October 1870 for stealing seven pieces of black silk and various other articles, the property of Mrs. Huggins of the Royal Oak. Curtis had been lodging at the house and the articles were missed shortly after her leaving. The items had later been sold to different persons in the neighbourhood.

Full licence granted 10th April 1962
