William Smith applied for a full licence Tuesday 27th August 1867. The application was refused since there were already `several public houses in the vicinity'. Full licence granted Tuesday 25th August 1868 to William Smith. The sanitary arrangements were said by Inspector Windsor to be inconvenient an unsatisfactory, according to the Norfolk Chronicle of 8th February 1908.
