Grocer Ambrose Crowe applied for a full licence Tuesday 23rd August 1870, "not for himself, but merely for the use of his customers, who, had late during the cucumber season, been very importunate in their frequent applications for brandy. It was a new neighbourhood and provision should be made for the fresh inhabitants."  Licence Granted.

Ceiling in Lacons style compartmented by emphatic beams decorated with raised plaster motifs of alternating roses and barrels - c1920.
Fitted dralon settees.
Public bar / corner bar has same ceiling decoration.
Square column in middle of room has fitted island seating around and terminates in interesting flat painted decorative motif on ceiling.
Flock wallpaper over matchboard dado.
A neat pleasing facade which contributes to the streetscape value.
