 An application made Tuesday 27th August 1901 for permission to open at 5:30am for the benefit of workmen.
It was said by a member of the Bench that every house in the city had workmen passing at an early hour and there had been quite enough of such applications.
Application refused.

Closed for refurbishment March 2003.
Reopened Saturday 5th April 2003.
