It was reported 2nd July 1870 that  two squares of glass in the beerhouse of Mr. Comer had been broken. Mrs. Comer said that earlier, the same person had tried to cheat her out of 6d. Robert Rainbird, labourer, was sentenced to two months in prison, and in default of paying costs of 8s 6d, for fourteen day more.
