Mrs. Pleasants, widow, married Mr. Towler on Saturday 31st November 1793. The wedding took place at the Cathedral.

Described by the Dean of Norwich 1573 - 1578 as a `Tippling House without all order of law.'

Sign of three birds said to have been painted by John Crome. (b 1768 - d 1821)

One of 40 houses named as being engaged for the Reception of Freeholders for Sir John Woodhouse and Sir Edward Astley's Friends on the Day of Election, Wednesday 14th April 1784.

House closed by 1827 and used as a private dwelling.
