Described as the Tuns Alehouse, White Lion Lane. A fire broke out here, Thursday morning, 20th April 1786. It started in a balk over the chimney and extended to the settle and staircase. The landlord and his wife were obliged to drop out of the chamber window. Timely assistance prevented further damage to the building . See THREE TUNS, Market Place - same house? |
