The Norwich Mercury of 20th April 1771 reported that Thomas Wright, gunmaker, had
relocated his premises to near the Hall, by the Market Place. The house to be known
by two blue posts,
now WRIGHTS NEW TAVERN.
A house by the name of BLUE POSTS is recorded 1773.
On Monday 13th September 1813, a Commodious and roomy Dwelling
House, formerly the BLUE POST TAVERN
was to be sold by Auction. With two capital cellars and requisite
offices, in Livingstone Court, near the Hall, in the Market Place.
