WHITE HART 6 BER STREET, St. JOHN TIMBERHILL
28 COSLANY STREET, St. MICHAEL AT COSLANY
39 St. PETERS STREET, St. PETER MANCROFT

On Tuesday 21st March 1854, it was said that Henry Stangroom (19) and Thomas Bacon (17) were seen to enter the White Hart having sold a clock for 10s 6d. The clock had been stolen the previous day from a Mr. W. Havers of St. Miles, along with two shawls, one cap and four brushes. The White Hart was described as a place of very bad repute.
Bacon was sentenced to four years penal servitude and Stangroom to nine months.

Unfortunately the report did not identify which White Hart, most likely it was the Coslany Street house.
