In a case of Deformation, 21st May 1712, Jane Parsley and Thomas Parsley
of Harleston sued John Ager of the Three Moles, Wymondham.
On Saturday 29th December 1711, John Ager had been heard to say that his
Aunt (Jane) Parsley had the French Pox.
On 24th May 1712, witness Richard Todd made a statement that he had been
told in Ager's shop that Goodwife Parsley had been to Norwich and got
the French pox and given it to her husband.
The outcome of this `slander' yet to be discovered....... |
