The HUNTSMAN & HORN to 1845 Located on the North West corner of Row 3, Laughing Image Corner to Northgate Street. Referred to Compensation 3rd February 1925 Licence renewal refused at the Principal Meeting for the Licensing (Consolidation) Act 1910, held 17th June 1925. Average trade given as 73½ barrels, 354½ dozen bottles, 13½ gallons of spirits and 99 dozen minerals. A profit of £73 15s 9d was shown. The rateable value was £24 but the tenant had only been charged £16. As unlicensed property it was valued at £700. £332 5s 3d was claimed for Compensation, which the magistrates awarded. A notice was published 27th June 1925 informing any person, due compensation from the closure of the premises, to make their claim by 27th July 1925. Licence expired 30th September 1925 |
