The Crown Inn was advertised to let 7th October 1762. It
included Bowling Green, Stables for 34 horses, 23 beds and a rent of £30 per
year. Unfortunately it was not specified which Crown. (London Road ?)
The Creditors of John Clarke, late of the Crown Tavern, were requested to
send in their account, 2nd December 1797
