Stewart Marsh finds the house at :-

Oak Road, Watchfield, SN6 8TD.
The house closed in 2004.

According to the Shrivenham Heritage Society it was demolished in 2011.

The IRON HORSE
Had/has a Bar, Lounge and `Verandah'.

Calyn Keohane identifies the house to have been at
Station Road, Sidcup, South East London.
No longer standing.


The MOUNT HOTEL

Calyn Keohane identifies the location to 67 Bevois Valley Road, Southampton, SO14 0EB on the corner with Ancasta Road.
A block of flats now stand on the site.


The finger post directs towards Hall Common

27/11/2018 - Robert Atkins traces this to Ludham - The Bakers Arms.

Paul Fuller comes up with the same conclusion 08/12/2018

14.05.2017
Tony Davis finds the house was at
43 Hogarth Lane, Chiswick.
It was bombed during WWII.


It says Steward & Patteson on the lamp,
so a fair chance this is in Norfolk.


23/03/2016 - The eagle eyes of Bunny LH trace this to the
GARDEN HOUSE at Mundham.
The distinctive lantern being the identifier on an image published in the EDP the same day.

A confirmed location 30/05/2014 by Paul Fuller puts the house at
HOYLAND, South Yorkshire, S740PY.

Considerably extended, the house still trades today.

In the background there is a pub, but not much can be seen. Where was `THE GOLDEN MORNING OF LOVE' ?

Please note - The original of this was `Lost in the Post ' when being returned to the owner - If you ever see it please advise!

This identified as WESTON a couple of miles south of Baldock.

CATTAWADE, Suffolk.

Today it operates as a Chinese Restaurant.

Elijah & Annie Kettle
were serving PARKERS ALES at the
WHITE HORSE

The house is identified by Rod Kettle as being at
Tunstall - Stoke On Trent
141/143 Brownhills Road
Today selling Banks' Beers but has previously sold
Parkers Ales, Ind Coope & Allsop, Joules and Ansells.

Annie Kettle is standing in the door and the dog is most likely called Vic.
Elijah & Annie kept the house from about 1922 to 1962.






The
WHITE HART . On the other side of the road are the businesses of Mr Adamson ?, Mr Mitchell and somebody offering haircutting, shaving, cigars & tobacco. A difficult scene to date but horses still seem to be the main transport of the day, so pre 1920 ?

Nigel Bown tracks this down to Denton near Grantham.

The WELBY ARMS is the pub.




No clues apart from Ind Coope ales on sale. 

........ but nevertheless Peter Williams locates the house as
the
DRILL at Romford.

Rebuilt in the 1930/40's the address today is
400 Brentwood Road, RM2 6DH
