On 19th July 1895, Mr. D. Shields of Bullards Brewery, sent a letter to Mr.
W. Foster of Aylsham asking him, should he be in Norwich the following day,
to come in and discuss the outstanding account of Mr. Manthorpe and the
future tenancy and transfer of licence. Should Mr. Foster not be able to
visit on the morrow, then Bullards would come to visit him at his earliest
convenience.
It would appear that the above letter was due to the sudden death of Mr.
Manthorpe and outcome was the transfer of licence to Mrs. Manthorpe and the
house becoming the
FRIENDSHIP. |
