c1908
On Saturday 3rd July 1880 it was reported that landlord of the house,
Frederick Reeve, had heard a crash in his porter room and found six
panes of glass broken. His wife had seen Mary Ann Richardson, a pedlar,
break the windows. Found guilty, Richardson was sent to prison for
two months with hard labour. The Chairman remarked that she had been
there so many times that it was no use in fining her, as it had not had
a deterrent effect on her.
