The application for a licence by William Harrold was accepted at the
Petty Sessions 1st September 1865.
Mr. Harrold was summoned Friday 20th September 1867 for non-payment of
4s 4½d for the gas rate. Declining to pay the rate,
a distress warrant was issued to recover the amount and £2 0s 9d in
costs.
Only found named in 1865 and in the 1871 census, plus the 1872 directory.
Maria Cranmer, wife of Thomas, died in early 1872, age 30.
