Miles Fish is given at the TWO BREWERS in 1846, 1856 & 1858.

For sale by Auction Saturday 2nd September 1843.
Then in occupation of Miles Fish with convenient rooms and cellars, Garden and Ground in front altogether about 2 roods.
Also a very productive Garden adjoining containing about 1A 2R, occupied by William Lattern, and a valuable Right on Eaton Common.

Full licence from 29th September 1843?

 George Dunn made an application, on Monday 24th August 1891, for a music and singing licence. The Chief Constable said the house was well conducted and the licence was granted.
















House No. 536 (of 557) on 1845 Magistrates list.


  In 1961 the BYSTANDERS FILM CLUB commenced a survey of Norwich public houses.
Unfortunately, by 1968 the challenge remained unfinished and Watney Mann had taken over the local breweries....Toilet facilities (Conveniences) were rated on cleanliness and general standard.
This house was rated as follows:-

Not the types you would expect in Eaton (thank goodness).
Bay-window bar.
Non-ecclesiastical *narthax as one goes in (dig that!).

Modern single-storeyed <sic> additions at rear.
Interior extensively altered to `open plan' system with bar counter in central area c1980.
Neo Tudor of modern construction.
Some re-use of old materials especially brickwork and timberwork in fireplace.
Many random elements, e.g. exposed brickwork, timber, studwork and matchboarding and roughcast plasterwork on walls.
Central Neo Tudor style bar with three sections serving three bar areas.
One bar has postiled canopy.
One bar has a false suspended timber beamed ceiling.
Furniture and fittings all modern.
Tables and chairs have turned legs, fitted upholstered settees.
Velvet curtains with tie-backs.
