  One Grimston house, un-named, was selling the malt liquors of Messrs. Fisher and Lewin in March 1808.
(This turns out to have been the Chequers)
 
   It was reported 12th July 1832 that about 60 cases of Cholera had been reported in the village.
"... we think needless alarm has been excited by the disease having attacked one or two respectable families......"
