The Estates and Effects of the late Henry Chaplin, merchant, were to be sold by auction November 1794. The first sale to take place on Monday 24th November 1794 at the KINGS ARMS, Blakeney and included miscellaneous Effects and Six Lots of Property in Blakeney. The second sale to take place at the NEW INN, Cromer on Friday 28th November 1794, there being two lots. Lot 1 being Freehold Tenements or Dwellings. Lot 2 - All that good accustomed Public House called BECK HITHE HOUSE and all that messuage or Dwelling House, with barns, stables and about 22 Acres of land to the same belonging, situate in Overstrand. In occupation of Thomas Hurst, or his undertenants, of which ten years lease remained as of Michaelmas 1794. An un-named Inn or Public House in Blakeney was also mentioned in the sale notice, but that was to be sold by Private Contract or Let and could be entered immediately. |
