November 2000 Morgans sales for 1960 were :- Barrels of beer - 74 Spirits - 11 (gallons) November 2001 Sales reported February 1909 as 299½ barrels during the previous three years. Sales of minerals being about two dozen per week. Little wine was sold. 18th November 1986 - Landlord Alan Gotts reported two raids in three weeks. In the first, £350 was taken from the till and the charity boxes for Handicapped Children and the Lifeboat Appeal were taken in the second robbery. Trading as the PLUME OF FEATHERS from April 2015. Closed June 2017 and new owners, Star Pubs & Bars announce re-opening to follow refurbishment and that the name OSTRICH may return.... 15th August 2018 Still closed January 2019.... August 2019....Still closed, but recently made `An Asset of Community Value' to give some protection from redevelopment. |
