On Monday 2nd November
1885, Mr. Edward Oliver, brewer of South Creake applied for a licence to
retail beer to be consumed off the premises. The application was opposed by Messrs. Eyre & Co on the grounds that there were already NINE licensed houses in South Creake, two of which were owned by Mr. Oliver. Note that only EIGHT are identified above. |
