The house described as: `A Well accustomed Public House, Known as the ``VICTORIA ARMS,'' in the occupation of Mr. James Codling, as undertenant to Messrs. Eyre and Chester, with Stable, Gighouse, Blacksmith's Shop, and other Outbuildings, Yard, Garden and Inclosure of rich Arable Land, containing together 1A. 0R. 6P...... THIS LOT is FREEHOLD, and the tenants are under Notice to quit on the 11th day of October next. Annual Outgoing. Apportioned Land-tax 5s 0p.' ** since Queen Victoria did not gain the throne until 1837 perhaps the name originates from Princess Victoria ?
