On Monday 6th March 1905 Police Superintendent Lowe objected to licence renewal on the grounds that the house was not needed to meet the wants of the public.

It was said that Mr. Hooks was a good tenant and conducted the house very well.
Provisional licence granted and house referred to the County Licensing Committee.
