In 1783 Samuel Barker is given as a licensee, apparently selling beer at 21, St Giles Street. On 18th September 1790, Mary Barker advised the friends and customers of her late husband, `that the business will be carried on as usual at the BRANDY VAULTS, in the Market Place, Norwich, where all favours will be thankfully received and gratefully acknowledged.
