The will of Simon Rackham, written in 1739, left premises situate in the
Parish of St. Gregory...... now in the possession or occupation of John
Burroughs or his assigns, commonly called or known by the name of the Goat
& Kid ......to his son John Rackham provided that he pays his mother
Mary an annuity of £11 a year.
The shop of Ironmonger Benjamin Brown was next door according to notice
published 16th November 1751.
Probably the same as the
GOAT, later
OLD GOAT.

Thanks
