John Funnell appeared before Court for Relief of Insolvent Debtors 23rd March 1832 : Formerly of Valentine Square, St Giles, Journeyman Shawl weaver; then of Magdalen Street, St Clement, Innkeeper and Journeyman Shawl-maker; then of Angel street, St Peter Mancroft, and late of St. Swithin, Journeyman Shawl Weaver.


Mr. John Funnell gave a dinner to the members of the Weavers Committee on the night of Tuesday 17th November 1829.
Several glees and songs were sung and appropriate toasts given, and the conviviality of the evening was kept up till a late hour, when they separated well pleased with the handsome and liberal conduct of their worthy Host.
