Lot No. 9 in the Sale by Auction of the Estate of the late John Preston, held Monday 14th May 1855. House then in the occupation of Mr. Robert Bessey.

Beerhouse licence given up 18th November 1904 in consideration of a new licence granted to the GOLF ARMS, (later to be the GOLFERS ARMS), but a full licence was granted the same day by way of removal from the NORWICH ARMS and on condition of surrender from the TOMLINSON ARMS.

On Friday 13th January 1905 the licence was transferred and it was stated that the rent was £35 per year.

On Friday 14th April 1905, an application was made relating to a small addition to the domestic portion of the North Tower. The adjoining house was to be sold and the alteration would make each of the properties square and compact. The plans were approved by the Bench.

Closed for trading 16th August 1966.
Licence held in suspense.

Demolished before 1996
