at least November 1894, when the property is described as "Late

1895 -
Messrs. Lewis, Ingold and Collard were also at the Rock
Well Brewery, Wantage, Berkshire.
They offered Ale & Stout in 4½ and 9 Gallon Casks, from 1
shilling a gallon.
In July 1895 a Special Beer, for Haysel and Harvest was
available for Free delivery in Norwich and District for 10d a
gallon.
The Offices of the Rock Brewery were at the MITRE,
Briggs Street to at least August 1895.
By November 1895 the
products from Rosary road were:-
"Famous October Ales"
Light Bitter & Family Ales.
Bottled Beers & Stouts.
Advertised 30th June 1896
The ROCK BREWERY of

Offering their Famous Rock Ales.

as :-
Munford George John Lewis, Ingold & Collard.
By February 1897 the Rock Brewery offices were at 25, Castle
Meadow, Norwich. Tel: 229.
On Tuesday 10th August 1897, the Leasehold Interest in the Rock
Brewery, with the option to purchase the Freehold, was offered
for sale. Included were six Freehold fully-licensed houses and
the unexpired term of Lease on seven other public-houses. The
property was withdrawn at £10,700.

The Rock Brewery is not found in Norfolk after August 1897.
In 1900 and 1904 the occupant of 19 Rosary Road is simply George
John Mumford.
By 1908 to at least 1912, Mrs. Mumford is at the address and the
property is named Chalk Hill House.
By 1916 the Norwich City football ground (The Nest) covers the
area.
(Football ground is then between numbers 7, the
EVENING GUN and 43 Rosary road.
