Objection to the renewal of licence was made on Friday 16th February
1906.
Referred for Compensation
26th February 1909.
At the licensing session held Friday 5th March 1909 licensee William
Saddler applied for renewal of the licence. In opposition it was said
that the TUNS
was 130 paces away, the
MILLWRIGHTS
ARMS 57 paces away and the
RAMBLERS
REST, a quarter of a mile distant. All three having better
accommodation and more useful to the community. Mr. Bullard did not
object to the house being referred for Compensation.
Licence refused at Compensation Authority meetings of 21st and 23rd
June 1909. Reported as an alehouse, owned by Bullard & Sons Ltd. and run by
licensee William Sadler.
At the meeting of the Norfolk Licensing Committee, held Wednesday 15th
December 1909, it was reported that trade was 36 barrels of beer and 12
gallons of spirits per annum.
Compensation of £250 was awarded.
Referred again for Compensation 31st May 1910.
