At the Burnham Market Petty Sessions held Saturday 30th October 1869, Messrs Bullards applied for the licence granted to Monsieur Cremer, beerhouse keeper, to be transferred to George Pyman. The request was granted. (But no sighting of Mr. Pyman at any Norfolk public house at this date). This suggests that monsieur Creamer was possibly at different South Creake house prior to October 1869. Perhaps NORWICH ARMS or TRAVELLERS REST? In 1861 Monsieur Cremer is the 19 year old son of cattle dealer George Cremer. There appears to be no direct relationship to Charles Creamer / Cremer. Sales February 1909 reported as "a barrel a week and four dozen minerals". Confirmation of Closure by Compensation given 28th May 1915 and again 30th July 1915. On Tuesday 21st September 1915, owners Morgans Brewery Co. were awarded compensation of £112 7s for closure of the house. The tenant, Robert Dewson to receive 10% of that award. |
